fuckingthinner asked: Gosh, I completely understand the binging thing. I've been through it! I had serious problems with binging last year, so I told my stepmother (who is kind of my mother) and we talked about it. She said I should start seing a psychologist. I didn't tell my father, tho, but he kind of realized it. He couldn't understad, but he was always saying "you just have to avoid food" or "you have to eat healthy stuff" or "you will be alive tomorrow, you don't need to eat it ALL right now" and things like that and it just made me more depressive. However, the doctor really helped me, not only with my eating problems, but also with general problems with my life. Here in my country it's really common for people to see a psychologist at some point in their lives.. I've lived in Canada for 6 months and I never heard anything of it from anybody. Cause some people tend to think that seing a "mental doctor" is only for crazy people, so they are ashamed and even parents don't understand sometimes.. Not here where I live, tho.. But you should talk to them, say that you are having a lot of stress, or that you read about it and that u think it help you a lot! I really hope it helps you! Good luck!

This is was actually SO helpful. Its stories like these that give me a little hope in overcoming my binging.

I just wish I had the guts to tell my parents. I’ve already gained like 15 lbs this summer. It’s embarassing.

But thank you so much hun <3
